Summary |
Develops/conducts needs assessment procedure and plans/implements a comprehensive staff training and development program in correspondence with the ongoing or changing standards of programs, quality of services, accreditation standards and compliance with legal, regulatory and funding sources requirements. Conducts or secures trainers for core training in CPR, First-Aid, Health and Safety, Hab aide, and Med Tech courses. Provides training to designated staff in medication administration.

| Education/Experience |
| Position requires a current, valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois; one year of successful direct nursing with Developmentally Disabled adults, or a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Rehabilitation, Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field. It is desirable that the individual have the requisite training and experience to qualify as a certified developmental disabilities registered nurse (CDDN). Certification as a QMRP. Strong knowledge of residential programs, regulatory requirement of Departments of Public Health and Human Services, CARF and COA. Working knowledge and ability to use computer applications for presentations (PowerPoint), word processing, spreadsheets and data bases.
